New Short Film Lifelines Brings the Fight to Screens Nationwide As paid leave reaches a historic tipping point, the new documentary short Lifelines, backed by Olympic legend Allyson Felix, launches May 6 in New York City, kicking off a cross-country screening tour. The release comes amid a series of state paid leave wins and just weeks before legislators and advocates from 25 states gather to chart a path toward a 50-state strategy and federal action.

Out of Office Message for Care This Thanksgiving week we’ve invited people across the country to set an Out of Office message for care to make visible the real reasons so many of us step away from work, and why we need paid leave for all and affordable care to come back. For millions of women, caregivers, and essential workers, there’s no such a thing as “out” and no way to take the paid time they need to recover or care—nearly half a million women have been pushed from the workforce this year alone.

NEW Report: This Father’s Day, Progress to Paternity Parity Paid Leave for All released the first report to provide bonding leave data by gender in all operational state paid leave programs and finds that men’s use of paid leave has grown powerfully and in some states is equal to or greater than mother’s use of paid parental leave.

We’re Popping Up For Paid Leave This Mother’s Day weeked we launched “Pop Up for Paid Leave,” a nationwide activation powered by community, care, and collective action and the largest single day business-led action giving back directly to mothers. While policymakers stall on basic protections like paid leave, we’re stepping up to care for moms now and spotlight the policies they deserve.
